FLOORBALL: MORE THAN A SPORT
HISTORY
Floorball has been played since the early 20th Century in
Canada as a recreational sport. It was played mostly in high schools as a
playful variant of hockey.
However, during the 1950s and 1960s it was incorporated in many public
schools into their primary and secondary schools physical education classes.
It became such an important sport that in 1996 was established the
Spanish Floorball Association promoting their practices among all elementary
schools.
