Do you know anything about Handball?? Have you ever played it?

Today from CEIP Maestro Padilla we have organized and interesting document where we explain the  history of handball and its basic rules and features.

For this week you have to read the next information to introduce you in this amazing sport.

HANDBALL: A MIXTURE OF BASKETBALL AND FOOTBALL

HISTORY

Handball is a fast-paced team game that was first played in Scandinavia and Germany at the end of the 19th century. The first Olympic game was played in Germany at the 1936 Berlin Games.

HOW TO PLAY

• Each team has 7 players
• Each teammate has a specific role, such as circle runner, left and right backs, left and right wingers, centre and goalkeeper.
• Skills required: shooting, passing, dribbling, speed and endurance.
• Equipment: Each player should wear comfortable shoes, a t shirt and athletic shorts. The goalkeeper wears long pants and a long sleeve shirt.
• Each period is 30 minutes long (2 periods) with a 10-15 minute intermission between each period.
